Tiger Solar on Grants and Green Business

Russ Edwards of Tiger Solar shares how being awarded the USDA’s REAP TAG grant has made a difference for their business, and how other businesses can benefit from this program. Charlottesville Transit Zero-Emission Initiative

Executive Director Susan Kruse shares information about the state of public transit in Charlottesville, and what actions C3 recommends as the city aims to meet its transit and climate goals. Charlottesville Area Transit aims to transition to a zero-emission bus fleet by 2040, ten years ahead of the city’s current 2050 goal. To hear more about this initiative, watch here.

2023: The Warmest Year on Record

The Future of Decarbonization in Charlottesville

Caetano de Campos Lopes, Director of Climate Policy, joins NBC29 to discuss the critical role local decarbonization efforts play in meeting climate goals. In the city of Charlottesville, 20-25% of climate pollution can be attributed to natural gas emissions; Caetano explains what role the city has in reducing the impact of this kind of emissions, and how C3 recommends the city of Charlottesville move forward in this realm. C3 Delivers Climate Action Kits to Students

Hear from Sarah Delgado, Finance and Operations Manager at C3, as she talks about our Climate Action Kit delivery! C3 and the Virginia Discovery Museum teamed up with Albemarle County Public Schools science teachers to put together Climate Action Activity Kits for students in the area. Launch of C3’s ACT on Climate Campaign

Charlottesville’s First Climate Mural

In this week’s conversation, Susan discusses the unveiling of Charlottesville’s first-ever Climate Justice Mural which is on display on the side of the American Red Cross Building (1105 Rose Hill Drive). Over the summer C3 teens, students from the Boys and Girls Club, and other community partners worked together to complete the mural. The final product is an artistic demonstration of how climate change will impact our community in the future.
