Make your own impact
We Take Climate Action Personally!
Climate change is complex and can seem insurmountable. Do the changes we make actually make a difference? The answer is, “Yes, they do!” — especially when we take action together.
With almost 30% of community-wide emissions coming from our homes and lifestyles, we know each of us has to do our part. And C3 is here to help you do that.
Virtual Energy Clinics
This winter C3, with support from the Charlottesville City Climate Protection Program, is going virtual with our Energy Clinics! We want to help homeowners and renters save money, save energy, and help the planet by accessing public funding set aside for City residents.
Schedule a time to chat with Latricia! Through her online scheduler (https://calendly.com/lgilesc3/community-1-on-1), OR call or text 434-218-0309! We’re here to help.
Home Energy Challenge
The Home Energy Challenge is a fun, easy way to take control of your home’s emissions and reduce your carbon footprint. Host a Power Party with 5-10 of your friends and help each other take action. During the “season” your team will choose from a variety of actions that fit your budget and lifestyle and complete actions within a 6-8 week timeframe to see your collective impact to our local emissions. Once a year, we will celebrate our accomplishments with a big party! The Challenge is fun, informative, and practical. The best part? We can see how every choice we make adds to the progress we make together, as a community. Learn more about how Power Parties work or email Latricia to schedule your party.
Our Impact So Far!
Home Energy Challenge Progress (as of 5/28/2020)
“I thought we were doing a good job on energy use, but the Home Energy Challenge helped us think of new ways to save energy. And doing this with our friends as a team really helped keep us focused and motivated on the issue.”
