1 | Set up your account

Step 1 – Go to cvillechallenge.org and click “Get Started.” Step 2 – Input your information into the form and click “Got It” when done. Step 3 – The platform will send you an email to the address you provided; click the link. Step 4 – When redirected, click “Log in” and create your password; then click “Save” to finish!

2 | Complete your Energy Profile

There are a couple of things worth mentioning in the Energy Profile. Log in and click “My Energy Profile” from the dropdown menu in the top right. Under Transportation: If you have more than one car, click “Add Another Item.” For airline travel, calculate only miles traveled by your household; exclude work. Under Water and Energy: You can estimate your water and energy use by selecting “estimate my water use” and “estimate my energy use” in the relevant categories. If you have your water and energy bills and want to do a precise calculation, select “add my water use” and “add my energy use.” To calculate natural gas use, you need bills from the past 12 months. The profile asks for units in therms (not the units used in CVille gas bills). To account for this, divide the number on your energy bill by 100 and enter that number. When finished, click “Save and Exit” for a personalized carbon footprint calculation!

3 | Join a Team

Step 1 — Login to your account with your email and password from cvillechallenge.org. Step 2 — Click on the button, “Start or Join a Team” Step 3 — Find your team and click the “Request to Join” link Step 4 — Go to “My Community” and click “Share My Progress” to share your successes!

4 | Choose your Actions

Step 1 – click Add Actions from the blue bar at the top of your dashboard. Step 2 – Filter the action grid to your preference. Step 3 – Click on actions to find out more about the task and to access local resources. Step 4 – Click "Add to my list" to select an action. Complete the customization and hit save. Step 5 – When you've completed an action, find the "My Plan" category on your dashboard click "Mark Complete" on the action you've finished.

For Team Leads | How to Create and Manage Your Team

To Create a Team: Step 1 – Click "Start or Join a Team" from the blue bar at the top of your dashboard. Step 2 – Name your team and fill out other fields in the pop-up box; click Save. Adding Members Step 1 – From the My Team page, click "Manage Members." Alternatively, click the link in the email notification you'll be sent any time someone requests to join your team. Step 2 – Next to their name, click "Edit." Step 3 – When you're redirected, change their status from "Pending" to "Active." Step 4 – Click "Update Membership" to save. Step 5 – To remove members, click "Remove." Edit Team Name Step 1 – Go to your team page. Step 2 – Click "Settings" in the top left corner. Step 3 – Edit your name and information as desired; click "Save."
