Green Teen Alliance (GTA)

The GTA is led by C3’s paid interns who engage high school students on climate and provides an avenue for them to accelerate action, advocacy, and justice. The Green Teen Alliance aims to educate for change, agitate for hope, and ultimately organize youth in the area around climate solutions.

C3’s GTA interns work to (1) Establish GTA clubs at local public and private high schools to create discussion spaces on climate action and advocacy; (2) Plan monthly meetings, workshops, and other events to unite youth across our community to speak with one voice on climate and amplify the impact of the local youth climate movement; and, (3) Pair student interns and volunteers with mentors from C3’s Green Schools Network of educators and administrators to advance student-led projects, school-wide “greening” initiatives, and in-school clubs.

Join us!

If you are a young person (age 13-18) ready to act on climate with community-based solutions for peers, then the Green Teen Alliance is for you. Come to our monthly meeting to find out more about how you can get involved. Starting this fall, we meet the 4th Sunday of every month (October 23, November 20, and December 18) from 4-5pm at C3’s office at the Tarleton Square Building - 415 8th St NE in Charlottesville. Find out more on our EVENT page.

Our Teen’s Stop Motion Videos
