Leading in Business + Leading on Climate

Community Climate Collaborative’s Green Business Alliance (GBA) is a leadership circle of Virginia-based businesses who have committed to deep emissions reductions. These Central Virginia businesses and nonprofits have joined forces to address climate change and ready our economy for a clean energy future. The first cohort launched in 2021 with 16 inaugural members. In 2023, we will be expanding the GBA with a second cohort to 26 members strong!

All GBA members have pledged to slash their Scope I and II emissions with both individual and collective reduction goals over a five-year time period, including:

  • Individual member goals ranging from 30% to 90% reductions

  • Cohort-level goals ranging from 35% to 45% collective reductions

GBA members employ more than 3,000 community members representing key industry sectors and are recognized influencers statewide, nationally, and some internationally. Their leadership is key to addressing climate change, and accelerating our community towards long-term emissions targets.

Leading on Climate

“Virginia-based businesses are an essential part of our economy and our communities, and they will also be essential partners in reaching our climate goals. We need all hands on deck, and it is an honor to highlight these successful home-grown businesses who are working to ensure a sustainable future for all Virginians.” — Virginia Governor Ralph Northam
