Climate Justice Mural Reveal

  • Community Climate Collaborative 415 8th Street, NE Charlottesville, VA 22902 USA (map)

The Community Climate Collaborative is thrilled to announce a new mural in the works, and we want you to be there for the big reveal! Local artist James “Jae” Johnson is sharing his talent to help C3 educate our community about the local impacts of climate change. Our Climate Justice Mural depicts rising temperatures in Charlottesville and the human, plant, and animal communities that are most affected by global warming.

Join us on Wednesday, November 17, from 4:00 - 5:30 pm at the American Red Cross Headquarters at 1105 Rose Hill Drive. You will hear from C3’s Executive Director, Susan Kruse, and our project partners. Refreshments will be provided by the Pie Guy.

This mural has been months in the making and was created in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Central Virginia, The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative, Charlottesville Mural Project, and Uhuru Foundation. We are proud of our new addition to the beautiful collection of artwork around Charlottesville. We hope you can join us for this special event!
