On Dismantling Racism

The Community Climate Collaborative stands in solidarity with the Black community in demanding justice for George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and so many others who have been victims of racism, white supremacy, and police brutality. The continued violence against Black and Brown communities must end, and we have a role to play in dismantling all racist systems. 

We condemn racism, injustice, and police brutality.

We acknowledge that there can be no climate justice without racial justice. 

We are resolved to explicitly and publicly affirm our identity as an anti-racist organization.

We are resolved that our anti-racism commitment be reflected in our work culture through our policies, programs and practices as we continue to learn about racism. 

We resolve to develop and work to implement strategies that dismantle racism within all aspects of our organization, the broader climate movement, and the communities where we work.

We call on other climate organizations to stand with us, to stand for justice.
